Did anyone see the Super Moon on Saturday? We were on the West Coast where the weather was amazing. Not a cloud in the sky. Perfect for seeing the enormous moon!

Rarely do I post pictures of myself. I don’t really have that many to begin with and this blog is about the pictures I TAKE, not the ones I’m in. But, I’m cleaning up my iPhone pictures & found this one. Thought I’d share – this is Chris & I from a few years ago, September 2010 actually. We were on the ferry coming back from a John Prine concert on Governor’s Island here in NYC. There’s a great stage set up on Water Taxi beach. Taken with my Hipstimatic, of course

Momma Got a New Pair of Shoes
Hell-to-the-yeah – I got a camera upgrade.
Ok, that’s a half truth. In October I ruined my Canon Rebel with a little saltwater. It was an accident but I also took it out on a boat on a windy day & really, I swear I know better. I just didn’t do better that one time. And my camera paid the price. And so did I. I’ve been DSLR-less for 5 months.
Lesson learned… {squeal of glee!!}

Rincon, Puerto Rico: 7 Days of Beachtime
413 - the Road of Rincon
Last week, Mr. B & I spent 7 days on the west coast of Puerto Rico, in Rincon. One word: heaven. In case anyone hasn’t noticed – we are beach people. Since Rincon is full of beaches, it was pretty much a perfect getaway for us.
Oh! And we saw whales! They breached just off the coast & we were lucky enough to be at the top of a hill where a group of people spotted them. Exciting!
For now I’m only posting my pictures from my Hipstimatic. So far they are my favorite pictures, but that’s not really fair. See, for the second winter vacation in a row, I brought the wrong camera charger. Not that I missed my P&S all that much…
